· The Tootle pedal boat is easier to use than a canoe or rowing boat as one uses the leg muscles rather than the weaker arm muscles. It is also more stable due to its twin hulled construction.
· The Tootle boat will work in 130 mm of water and goes where most propeller driven boats would be grounded or damaged.
· The Tootle boat uses a specially shaped paddlewheel that creates a stream of water to push the boat forward and also, when deflected by the rudder, gives the boat a good steering capability.
· The Tootle boat can be power assisted by an electric motor using a solar charged battery.
· The Tootle boat has an economical construction with a simple transmission system. It can also be dismantled for ease of transportation.
